The Big Apple is pleased to welcome you to its 2nd Annual Walk for Values USA!  This exciting event will return to Battery Park, NYC on Sunday, June 21, 2009.

Participants will travel from as far as Washington, DC, Virginia and Maryland to join those from nearby areas of New Jersey, Connecticut and New York. Nothing is more powerful than a group of committed individuals who are ready to make a difference.

9:00 am: Registration & Line Formation

10:00 am: Opening Ceremoney

10:20 am: Walk Commences

12:00 pm: Walk Concludes in Park

12:15 pm: Closing Ceremony and Light Snacks


Battery Park

The Battery is one of New York City's oldest public open spaces.  Dutch Settlers landed here in 1623 and established New Amsterdam.  Now the Battery is truly the cradle of New York history, the front lawn of the Downtown district, and a hub of harbor access and cultural tourism.  Over four million people, including residents, office workers, school groups, and tourists around the world annually visit the park and is major landmark, Castle Clinton National Monument.

The Battery is accessible from State Street and Battery Place. It is adjacent to the Staten Island Ferry Terminal.

From the Upper West Side:

Take the West Side Highway / West Street south to the Battery Place exit. This is the last exit before the Battery Tunnel underpass.

From the Upper East Side:

Take the FDR Drive south to Exit 1 – Whitehall street. Parking is available immediately after the exit at 1 New York Plaza.
