Walk for Values USA - DC will take place on Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Sylvan Theater located at the base of the Washington Monument. Pledge a value that you will practice and join us. Register now! Program: 9:00 to 10:00 AM - Onsite check-in Location and Walk Route The Walk begins and ends at the Sylvan Theater (at base of Washington Monument). Walk proceeds around Washington Monument (clockwise), crossses over 14th and 15th Streets then proceeds East down the National Mall, parallel and adjacent to Madison Dr, NW, turns South at 7th Street, then returns West to the Sylvan Theater via the gravel path that is parallel to Jefferson Dr, SW. Large Parking Lots and Access to the National Mall Top three selected parking options are: 1. Constitution Avenue (near 15th Street across from the White house) - free and no time limit on Sundays 2. Independence Avenue (near 13th-14th Street) - free and no time limit on Sundays 3. Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial Parking lot - off Maine Avenue and Independence Avenue (free 3-hour limit) Other options: Madison and Jefferson Streets - Street Parking (free 3-hour limit)50 Massachusetts Avenue, NE. More than 2,000 parking spaces. Rates: $6-19. The parking garage is near the east end of the National Mall near the U. S. Capitol Building. To get to the west end of the mall (and the Tidal Basin), take the DC Circulator Bus for $1 or ride the Metro to Smithsonian Station. This is also a starting point for sightseeing tours -Old Town Trolley, DC Ducks and Tourmobile.
